What is Compassionate School Network
The Compassionate School Network (CSN) is the first of its kind in the world; it is a locally developed project inspired by the Charter for Compassion, a TED prize global initiative. CSN engages existing schools in Pakistan. The objective of CSN is to give educators the tools and training they need to teach compassion. The goal is to empower compassionate youth who will then grow up to become compassionate adults, bringing about a significant shift in the environment of the school system and a more tolerant, peaceful society.
Our aim is to grow the network to 5000 schools by the year 2018 educating approximately 2 million children of Pakistan, to become compassionate leaders in the coming decades.
